How ceramic coatings increase HP

How do the ceramic coatings improve performance and horsepower?

Managing under-bonnet temperatures is one of the key factors in optimising performance. The hotter the engine bay, the warmer the air being drawn into the combustion chamber.

Black Performance ceramic coatings can manage this problem in two ways:

1. Heat containment coatings prevent heat escaping from the exhaust system into the engine bay, thereby reducing under-bonnet temperature by up to 35% and increasing horsepower. Maintaining the heat within the exhaust also improves exhaust gas flow, aids in cylinder scavenging and allows turbos to spool-up sooner.

2. Heat dissipation coatings allow the intercooler to work more efficiently, further cooling the intake charge and increasing horsepower.
